In 2009, Tara landed her first design job at a fashion jewelry company in New York. After gathering valuable experience and seeing the consistent growth of the creative field in Panama, she decided to head back home to start her own jewelry line.
New York instilled an incredible mark and structure into her design method. It was a mix of factors that helped set her journey's path. Designing for a fashion jewelry company taught her not only about aesthetics, but the ins and outs of sourcing, production and the costume jewelry market.
Panama is a constant source of inspiration for her pieces. The Rana Dorada (translates into Golden Frog) is one of Panama's national symbols and is found throughout her first collection: The Momo Collection.
